Approved medications

These medications are approved during pregnancy and breast feeding.

Allergy: Most over the counter allergy meds are ok including; Claritin, Zyrtec, Tylenol Sinus medication and Benadryl. Avoid Claritin D, Zyrtec D, or any allergy meds with Motrin Ibuprofen or Aleve products

Antacid: Tums, Rolaids, Maalox, Gelusil, Mylanta, Tagamet, Zantac, Pepcid

Colds - Sinus: No Aspirin- No Aleve-No Ibuprofen products:
Ok to take the following: Contac, Dimetapp, Actifed, Sudafed, Tylenol Cold/Sinus, Benadryl, Robitussin DM, Vicks44, Benadryl cough syrup, Nyquil, (alcohol content < 15%), Claritin, Chloraseptic Spray, Throat Lozenges, Mucinex.

Constipation: Peri-Colace, Metamucil, Citrucel, Peridiem, warm prune juice, Milk of Magnesia, Fibercon (half dose), Dulcolax.

Diarrhea: Kaopectate, Imodium

Headache: Tylenol (regular or extra strength)

Hemorrhoids: Nupercainal Ointment, Preparation-H

Nasal Spray: Ocean Spray Only

Nausea/Vomiting: Liquids, Vitamin B6 50 qid, Unisom(doxylamine)1/2 @ bedtime with B6, Emetrol, Dramamine

Vaginitis (yeast): Monistat Cream (3 or 7 day)

These medications are to be used as directed.  If symptoms persist over three (3) days, call your physician.
